Brenda Larsen has always been interested in healthy living and being active physically, mostly running, which had begun to take its toll on her knees and lower back. Wanting to find an alternative form of physical activity that would be more kind to her body, and also one that she could participate in for the rest of her life, a friend convinced her to try Bikram Yoga. She was hooked! From a physical standpoint, she had more energy, her lower back pain was gone, her body felt stronger, more agile, and, bonus, she lost a few pounds. But Bikram was not just about physical transformations; her life had been changed from a mental and spiritual standpoint as well. She found that she had more patience with herself and with others, and the little annoyances in life didn’t seem to bother her as much. More than anything else, she loved the peace and gratitude that Bikram had brought into her life. Because at her core, she is a person who enjoys helping people, she considered it a privilege and honor to become certified as a Bikram Yoga Instructor and share this wonderful practice of body, mind, and spirit, with others.

Nikki Donaldson I started practicing Bikram yoga in Fall of 2011. I walked out of my first Bikram yoga class and was amazed by how good I felt. I felt different, lighter physically and clearer mentally. In a short period of time, with regular practice, my body started to transform with stamina and flexibility. My mind became calmer and more at peace. I immediately knew this is what my life needed. Since then, I have practiced religiously and consistently!
I decide to become a Bikram yoga teacher to further my practice and to inspire others as my teachers inspired me. I went to teacher training in Thailand, Spring of 2015. I love teaching and it has been a wonderful addition to my life. It’s amazing watching students progress, heal injuries and realize their unlimited potential. ” WHEN YOU OWN YOUR BREATH, NOBODY CAN STEAL YOUR PEACE” ~Unknown
NAMASTE :)

In 2010, my mom, Holly, convinced me to try my first Bikram yoga class. Shortly after, I was heavily recruited to help her open Bikram Yoga Katy in October 2011, as a member of the front desk staff.
In 2014, I moved to San Marcos, TX, where I attended Texas State University. During my Christmas and Summer breaks, I would move back home to help with the yoga studio.
In December 2016, I graduated from Texas State University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Around that same time, my mom had the great idea to add Inferno Hot Pilates to our schedule. Before I knew it, she had convinced me to join her, at the Inferno Hot Pilates teacher training, in October 2017. Then, in April 2018, I decided to attend Spring Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in Acapulco, Mexico. I thought my Mom was going to burst with excitement, when I told her. I always said I would NEVER go to Teacher Training. Well, let me tell you, I’m SO glad I did. Those 9 weeks changed my life for the better. It challenged me like I never thought it would. I became mentally and physically stronger. In April of 2021, I furthered my training and knowledge by becoming a certified LAB and Hells Bells Instructor. Both of these classes have helped me fall more in love with weightlifting.
I never imagined my journey would lead me to teaching Inferno Hot Pilates and Bikram Yoga. However, I am happy to be where my journey took me, because I absolutely LOVE it! I look forward to welcoming you into our studio, and helping you achieve your goals, one class and one day at a time. See you on your mat!

I love this yoga for so many different reasons; calms the mind, heals the body, helps with managing stress and anxiety, to name a few. I love this yoga because it works! This led me on my journey to become a yoga instructor; therefore, attending RYT-200 Teacher Training in Puerto Moreles, Mexico in the Summer of 2015. I received my Yoga Alliance Certification through Sterling Hot Yoga Works via Bikram dialogue and the 26 and 2 Hot Yoga Principles.
In October of 2016, I went to Inferno Hot Pilates (IHP) Teacher Training in California. Inferno Hot Pilates is an energetic, motivating and super FUN class. It is a training system which combines Pilates principles with High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). IHP is a high intensity but LOW impact class which keeps the bones and joints safe. This class helps to burn fat rapidly, develop and strengthen long lean muscle mass, boost your metabolism and creates a strong core all while having super fun! It will compliment your yoga class for sure! I am very passionate about teaching Inferno Hot Pilates because I love motivating people and this class allows me the opportunity to change lives quickly.
In 2017 I received my Buti Yoga certification. Buti yoga is a unique practice, known for it’s cardio-intensive bursts of tribal dance, primal movement, and conditioning. It’s designed to offer a calorie-scorching, body-sculpting, and dynamic yoga practice.
I look forward to having you all in my class very soon!!

Greetings my name is Kimberley or Kim (Just don’t call me late for dinner) and I started practicing yoga about 7 years. I found myself running out of the hot room after yoga to avoid taking Inferno Hot Pilates. One day I faced my fears and fell in love with the the energy and structure of IHP. Thanks to Holly for her believing in my power to motivate, I am now teaching Inferno Hot Pilates and loving every second of it. I am originally from the great state of Georgia. The Peach state that is, and I have been in Texas for 11 years. Trust me, when taking my class I bring a little Georgia to Texas! When I’m not in the hot room I am helping women get there confidence back as an Area Sales Manager pushin pink and a Licensed Esthetician. I have a passion for helping others achieve their goals while motivating them & holding them accountable, and we have fun too. Tapping into the total mind, body, and soul is my game plan. I look forward to seeing you in the hot room to sweat it out, and get those results. Peace & Namaste

Ruijin Baker: I discovered Hot Body (Hot Hybrid) yoga in Feb. 1995 when I relocated in Jakarta (just one month after I got my BBA Int’l business from University of Memphis). I really liked it because it’s a combo of hot yoga and hot Pilates done by swimming pool the created humidity with that naturally heated Indonesia tropical weather.
I was less interested in gym exercises after I came back to Houston in 1999. After I found Bikram yoga in 2014 and never looked back. I did my 180 Day Challenge and went to Bikram’s Teacher Training Spring ‘05 in L.A. I taught in Bikram Yoga North Dallas and then Bikram yoga Winston – Salem while traveling with my family.
I started teaching in Bikram Yoga Houston in 2009 after my family settled down in Houston, and then Bikram Yoga Westheimer 2012-18.
I started traveling teaching again in 2019 one year after my husband of 30 years passed away. I taught in Harmony Yoga & Pilates, Bikram yoga Memphis and Bikram yoga Germantown.
I found Bikram Yoga Katy Students Facebook 2020 Facebook page during the COVID shut- down. Holly invited me to join her staff class and let me teach in her beautiful studio. After 2 years plus of teaching, I still admire her and cherish each student.
I’m also an Inferno Hot Pilates instructor for 5 years. Teaching Hot Hybrid is my passion because it’s related to Hot Body where I started my yoga journey. I will continue caring for all the dedicated students in BYK. During my spare time, I like to cook for the family, play with my grandsons and dance with my fiancé Craig.

I was a beginner to bikram yoga when I started at the studio. I figured I would give it a try and after my second class I fell in love. I love the peace of mind that yoga has brought me and comfort I feel in the room. This studio has become my happy place and a family of kind encouraging souls. I look forward to seeing y’all in the hot room and at the front desk!

I’m a busy mom of three very active teenagers, and Yoga/Pilates has given me my “me” time where I can decompress and DE-stress. I’m looking forward to taking class with all of you.
